Privacy Policy

๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Short version: SnapSlim processes your photos entirely on your device. We never upload, view, or store your screenshots or photos. The only personal data we hold is your account info (from Apple Sign In) and usage statistics (how many screenshots you processed). Your photos are yours.

1. Who We Are

SnapSlim is developed and published by Everyday Solutions, an independent software developer based in India. References to "we", "us", or "our" mean Everyday Solutions. You can contact us at support@evrydaysolutions.com.

2. What Data We Collect

2.1 Account Information (via Sign in with Apple)

When you sign in, Apple provides us with:

  • A unique, stable Apple User Identifier (anonymised ID assigned by Apple)
  • Your email address (either your real email or an Apple-generated relay address like xyz@privaterelay.appleid.com) โ€” provided on first sign-in only
  • Your name โ€” provided on first sign-in only, if you choose to share it

We store this in our secure database (Supabase) to maintain your account and subscription.

2.2 Usage Statistics

We store the following usage data, linked to your account:

  • Number of screenshots processed today (to enforce daily limits)
  • Total screenshots processed all time
  • Total bytes saved all time (the cumulative storage freed)
  • Date of last daily reset
  • Your subscription tier and expiry date

This data allows us to enforce fair usage limits and show you your lifetime stats in-app.

2.3 Subscription and Purchase Data

When you make a purchase, Apple processes the payment. We receive only a transaction receipt from Apple confirming your purchase. We store your subscription tier and expiry date. We never see or store your payment card details.

3. What Data We Do NOT Collect

  • โŒ Your actual photos or screenshots (never uploaded to any server)
  • โŒ Image content, thumbnails, or file names
  • โŒ GPS location or EXIF metadata from photos
  • โŒ Device location
  • โŒ Contacts, messages, or any other app data
  • โŒ Browser history or cross-app tracking
  • โŒ Advertising identifiers (IDFA)

4. On-Device Processing

All photo compression happens entirely on your iPhone. The process:

  1. SnapSlim reads screenshots from your Photos library using Apple's PhotoKit framework
  2. Each screenshot is converted from PNG to JPEG on-device (using Apple's Core Graphics framework)
  3. The compressed image is saved back to your Photos library on-device
  4. The original is moved to "Recently Deleted" in your Photos app โ€” still on your device, not deleted immediately

At no point does any screenshot or image leave your device. The only data that reaches our servers is the usage count (number processed, bytes saved).

5. How We Use Your Data

  • To authenticate you and maintain your account across sessions
  • To enforce daily usage limits based on your subscription tier
  • To display your lifetime stats in the app (total screenshots processed, total storage saved)
  • To manage and verify your subscription status
  • To respond to support requests if you contact us

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties.

6. Data Storage and Security

Your account data is stored in Supabase, a secure database platform. Supabase stores data on servers operated by AWS and/or Cloudflare in the United States. Data in transit is encrypted using TLS/HTTPS. Data at rest is encrypted by Supabase's infrastructure.

We implement Row Level Security (RLS) in our database, meaning your data is only accessible to you โ€” no other user can read your records, and our database enforces this at the query level.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, all data associated with your account will be permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your account and all associated data
  • Portability: Request your data in a portable format

9. Children's Privacy

SnapSlim is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child under 13, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Supabase (supabase.com) โ€” database and authentication infrastructure
  • Apple Sign in with Apple โ€” authentication
  • Apple App Store / StoreKit โ€” payment processing

Each of these services operates under their own privacy policies. We do not share your data with any other third parties.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of SnapSlim after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
